Formes Vivantes exhibition highlights the links that unite the mineral world, which comes from the earth, and the living, organic, animal and plant world. With nearly 350 works, ceramics from the Renaissance to the present day, alongside paintings, pieces of goldsmithery or scientific objects with which they are put into perspective, the exhibition questions us about our own relationship to the living. We thus (re)discover a medium resolutely anchored in its time and which inspires, today more than ever, contemporary artists such as Giuseppe Penone, Johan Creten or Nadège Mouyssinat. Conceived by the Adrien Dubouché National Museum in Limoges in 2019, the exhibition is experiencing a second wind by continuing its mutation at the Sèvres Museum.
HYBRIDATIONS, ABSTRACTION, BIOMORPHISM- Claire Lindner
ANATOMY, DISSECTION, MICROSCOPIC STRUCTURES - Marc Alberghina
ANIMAL UNIVERSE- François-Xavier Lalanne

An exciting exhibition between art and science which attests to the sensitive, poetic, lucid and sometimes worried gaze that the ceramists of yesterday and today cast on the living, its beauty and its fragility, and who transcribe it with talent and inventiveness. .
